I have a 4.0 GPA and didn’t get a scholarship. Why not?

Many of the scholarships at Northland have a minimum GPA requirement (usually 2.5 or higher), but only a few list high academic achievement as part of the criteria.

Most of our scholarships have unique qualifications related to a specific program of study, career goals, activities, or life circumstances (i.e. health problems, financial struggles, etc.). We are working hard to expand the number, amounts, and types of scholarships available.

We have some gaps to fill. At the moment, there are limited scholarship opportunities for Liberal Arts students at our EGF campus, part-time students, and distance/online students. Those we do have for these students are very competitive.

New scholarships are added all the time – even during the application process. When in doubt, apply!
